Industrial water softening equipment uses ion exchange technology to exchange magnesium and calcium plasma in water with sodium ions in resin, so as to achieve softening of water. The whole process is divided into two steps: adsorption and regeneration.
Adsorption: After pretreatment, water enters the water softening equipment. The water is filtered through the resin bed, and the ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin and exchanged into sodium ions.
Regeneration: After the resin is saturated, it needs to be regenerated. Regeneration is divided into two stages: backwashing and brine recovery.
Backwash: The backwash water is passed through the resin bed to remove contaminants and clean up the dirt on the surface of the resin.
Brine recovery: salt water is passed through the resin bed to remove sodium ions in the resin and replace them with new sodium ions, thus restoring the adsorption capacity of the resin.
